Former US Ambassador's Open Letter To M'sian PM Najib Razak

Admin Note:

Since his return from his meeting with the Pope, Malaysian Prime Minister has subtly warned minority Malaysian Christians that they must respect the majority Muslim Malaysians first if they want Muslims to respect them. Then he went on to tell the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) which is a component party of the ruling BN Regime that he will only help the Indians if they (MIC) get the Indian votes for BN.

Najib then unashamedly praised the Police for releasing 6 members of the Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) including Opposition MP Dr. Michael Jeyakumar (pic above) whom, the Police, Najib's BN/Umno Regime and the BN controlled mainstream media had earlier claimed to be communists waging war against the King.

Below is a Letter to Najib Razak from former United States Ambassador to Malaysia, John Malott.

Dear PM Najib,

As a result of the developments on July 9, the world is now paying increased attention to Malaysia.

In particular, we now wonder how free and fair your nation's elections are. We have learned that some of your country's citizens believe that Malaysia needs electoral reform. On July 9, they marched with a coalition called Bersih 2.0, and they called for free and fair elections.

You responded by declaring Bersih illegal and suppressing the 'Walk for Democracy' with overwhelming police force. The world noticed your heavy-handed reaction, and it wondered why a peaceful demonstration calling for fair elections bothered you so much - so much so that you were willing to risk Malaysia's international reputation - and give your country and yourself a major black eye.

When you returned from your visit to Europe, you declared that Malaysia's elections truly are free and fair, and that Umno has never cheated in any election.

I am glad to hear that.

Because it means that in Malaysia's next general elections, you have nothing to hide.

Governments that manipulate elections have lots to cover up. But you say that your elections are free and fair, so that means you have nothing to be afraid of showing to all of us in the outside world, not to mention your own people.

Therefore, I am sure that you are willing to readily agree to the following proposals:

1) Allow international groups to observe your elections. Based on your assertions, they will find nothing amiss, and their reports will give credibility to Malaysia's election results.

2) Allow observers from all political parties to witness the postal balloting that takes place on military bases. For years, the opposition has said that something is amiss. But since you say that Umno never cheats, I am sure that they will find nothing wrong, and you will be vindicated.

3) Let's put an end to all the accusations about phantom voters by using a simple, effective and cheap solution - indelible ink.

Your Elections Commission wants a super-sophisticated biometric system, but there is no way it can be in place by then - and many people worry that it can be manipulated. Indelible ink works - just ask the world's largest democracy, India. I don't think anyone has ever disputed the results of India's elections in over 60 years.

4) Finally, let RTM be truly independent, like the BBC and NHK and the public broadcasting systems in Australia, France, Germany, and elsewhere in the world. RTM does not belong to Umno. It belongs to the people.

As long as RTM - funded by all the people of Malaysia - acts as the propaganda arm of the 25 percent of Malaysians who voted for Umno, no one can believe that Malaysia's elections are fair and free.

So, my dear Prime Minister, it's all very simple. You say that Malaysia's elections are free and fair. Now you have a chance to prove it to the outside world and remove all doubts. And if your party wins, then the Malaysian people - and the world - might finally be convinced.

If you refuse these suggestions, then the doubts will linger, and your assertions about the honesty of Malaysia's election will continue to be questioned.

Sincerely,
John Malott

Muslims & Jews

By Admin

In response to MarGeeMar's article "DID PROPHET MOHAMED TEACH MUSLIMS TO HATE JEWS?" here
http://margeemar.blogspot.com/2011/07/did-prophet-mohamed-teach-muslims-to.html#links the following response was received from MARAM MOHAMAD:

Muslims are never taught to hate anyone. Hate is not in the vocab of the teachings of this one n only greatest religion from the Creator of this universe and all its contents, including you & me!

But make no mistake. We are clearly taught to protect our rights, our properties, our families and to fight for our rights even if it means dying while fighting for it.

I suggest strongly that you seek knowledge n understanding on the relationship between the Jews and Muslims thru the annals of history. Then perhaps you will find all the answers why Muslims are fighting the Jews and not embracing them as their friends. When Muslims in one corner of the world are oppressed, it reverberates across the Muslim world, due to Muslim brotherhood, cutting country & racial borders. Islam is a religion for peace, but fight we will when our rights are transgressed and deprived.

Put yourself as a Muslim, and you can feel the mind and hearbeat of the Muslims today vis a vis the Jews. Isnt the events unfolding before you clear already??

A Message From Teoh Beng Hock

By Antares

MACC (UMNO's gestapo) didn't want TBH dead, they just wanted to break him down so he would implicate his boss Ean Yong. These goons refuse to believe that ANYONE wielding any political power can be squeaky clean. That's how descendants of brigands and pirates think. In Bolehland, to have a clear conscience immediately disqualifies one from rising up the ranks of UMNO, MCA or MIC. They only feel safe to be in the company of those already tainted like themselves.

A violent shockwave rippled through PWTC the night of 8 March 2008 when it became clear that Selangor state had fallen to Pakatan Rakyat. Najib immediately blamed it on Khir Toyo who immediately summoned Zakaria Mat Deros. Losing Selangor, the richest state, was absolutely unthinkable! Zakaria Mat Deros was the first victim of UMNO's fury. His heart gave way under fire when he refused to bear sole responsibility for Selangor's loss and initiate racial trouble in Klang. Khir Toyo felt it was his duty to regain control of Selangor, even if it meant offering somebody from PAS the mentri besarship, but the UMNO-PAS talks led nowhere.

Najib began to copy Anwar's plan and tried to lure over a few defectors. Perak was the easiest target, because UMNO only needed three defectors to topple the state government. Once Najib got safely past the post and got officially installed as UMNO's PM, he pulled out all the stops. Khir Toyo, still seething from losing his cushy job as MB, was instrumental in assigning the task to his cronies in Selangor MACC (how else has Khir Toyo managed to stay out of jail all these years?) - particularly deputy director Hishamuddin Hashim, who was a junior deity at MACC, feared by all the staff and free to do as he liked.

The RCI was allowed to ferret out and name a few MACC officers directly responsible for TBH's death - but was careful to avoid openly accusing them of culpable homicide or even manslaughter. Since it's well nigh impossible to find out precisely what happened to TBH in Plaza Masalam between July 15 and 16, 2008 - short of forcing a confession out of Hishamuddin Hashim, Mohd Ashraf and other MACC thugs involved in Teoh's "interrogation" - the RCI took refuge in the remote possibility that Teoh, in fact, suffered a total nervous breakdown and in a moment of temporary insanity, tried to exit through a 14th-floor window.

Well, folks, I have been in touch with Beng Hock several times since his death. He was a true hero, our Beng Hock. He maintained a stony silence until he could no longer bear the intimidation and humiliation - then he lashed out at them. That's when the MACC goons turned feral on him and went overboard. Let Hishamuddin Hashim, Khir Toyo and Najib sue me if they want. I promised Beng Hock I would speak on his behalf. Beng Hock has left it to us to ensure that MACC is eventually dismantled through unrelenting public pressure. Indeed, Beng Hock would like to see an end to all forms of brutality and torture and will assist us, from wherever he is, to say NO! NO! NO! to any form of state-sponsored cruelty. We don't need the Special Branch or Gestapo. They are like fierce and dangerous dogs kept on a tight leash by the overfed and overprivileged class. If you come from such a household, tell your parents you are ashamed of them and, if they don't listen to you, just walk out on them like Prince Siddhartha. This is the only way we can

Christians Beware: Satanic BN /Umno Using The Holy Bible To Deceive & Hide The TRUTH!

By Admin

Police raided the home of blogger Chan Lilian in Penang and carted away her 27-inch iMac and a modem. Her crime was to Twitter on June 29: “i think all Christians shud march for all the persecution they had done to us and our Lord”. This was in reference to Bersih 2.0.
This came about when pro-BN/Umno Blog House Malaysia secretary Tony Yew (pic above) made a police report so that the authorities could “charge [Lilian] for seditious statements, and use her as an example to others that we cannot take National Unity for granted”.

Tony Yew is a typical Christian hypocrite and modern day Judas just like the BN Christian politicians and so-called Christian journalists like Wong Chun Wai and Joceline Tan.

It is a legitimate Christian call to duty to stand up and be counted when human liberties and freedom are at stake. More so, when the Christian faith and her adherents are trampled upon by a corrupt and despicable regime like BN/Umno. Christians must stand up for their faith and for Justice and Truth. So, there's nothing wrong with what Lillian Twittered.

There's a letter to the Editor in The Star today that openly supports the hypocrisy of Wong Chun Wai and approves and absolves the Evil BN/Umno Regime of any wrong doing while demonizing all those who oppose it. The Writer of the letter is STEVE ROADS of Kuala Lumpur. (The Scribe seriously doubts this is the Writer's real name).

STEVE ROADS writes about "Removing the log in our eye before we see the speck of dust in someone else eye". STEVE ROADS, just like Satan, the Father of Lies, uses scripture to demonize the Church and Her Leaders. One must remember, even Satan quoted Scripture to Jesus to deceive him away from the Truth. STEVE ROADS is doing just the same thing here to the Rakyat (People). to so-called Christians who subscribe to the twisted theology of STEVE ROADS it is the log s in your eyes that is preventing you from seeing the perversion of justice, corruption, murder, election fraud etc. perpetrated by the Satanic BN/Umno Regime of Najib Razak. It is the logs in your eyes that has made you dail to see the injustices done to Sarbani, Teoh Beng Hock, Amirulrashid, Kugan, Altantuyaa and many others. It's time to remove the logs in your eyes so that you may see the TRUTH.

Read what STEVE ROADS wrote in The Star below:

I HOPE every Malaysian on both sides of the political divide will read Wong Chun Wai’s column “Of Angry birds and angry Malaysians” (Sunday Star, July 24) and take to heart his comment that in our nation today “there is too much contradiction and sacrificing of principles, all seemingly in the name of justice”.

Instead, we should all take stock of ourselves before we hurl accusations and abuse at others, a trait that some Malaysians have honed to a fine art to mask their own inadequacies or intentions.

When we re-examine our own lives, we will find that there are many things that need correction. We have to remove the log in our eye before we worry about the speck in the other’s eye.

We have to stop bribing the police before we shout about corruption, we have to be an open book before we ask others to be transparent, we have to treat all our family members equally before we ask for fair treatment from those in authority.

I am particularly perturbed by the growing level of intolerance and bigotry that seems to have so gripped certain levels of Malaysian society that they will not see reason. They have been whipped up into a state of frenzy until there is no room for logic or reason.

Where will it all this end? When brother betrays brother and turn against each other? When father and children are torn apart?

Reading the hatred on the blogs and Internet one will walk away with the view that Malaysia is a nation of crooks, scoundrels, and vagabonds, and not a land where for the last 50-odd years its citizens have enjoyed a long period of relative peace, galloping economic growth, a safe environment and a place in the sun for all.

True, we have had our share of challenges, but we had been able to overcome all of them because of political stability and a mature citizenry that believed in family and community values like loyalty, fair play, and tolerance.

The backbone of that political stability had been the the Alliance and its enlarged entity, Barisan Nasional, a coalition of some 14 political parties representing every ethnic group from all corners of Malaysia and all subscribing to sound, unifying policies and practices.

Of course, there have been individual cases of excesses and misdemeanors, but these have been periodically corrected by the judicial process and through the ballot box. And that is as it should be.

As a Christian, I also despair at the way in which some mainline churches have allowed their pulpits to be used to propagate political propaganda of the worst kind. They have succumbed to making a volatile cocktail of religion and politics.

I understand that, in these churches, preaching from the Bible has given way to proselytizing the faith of opposition politics. Video tapes of the July 9 Bersih rally have been shown to some congregations and negative connotations drawn from them.

Religious leaders should understand that not all members of their congregation approve of such practices, and be fully aware of the inherent dangers of such actions twisted for the political ambitions of individuals or groups.

Remember what Christ said when his loyalty to the Roman rulers was being questioned? Responding to Pontius Pilate about the nature of his kingdom he said: “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” (Bible, John 18:36).

Christ’s religious teachings were separate from earthly political activity which have, ever since, reflected the traditional division in Christian thought between the state and the Church.

Again, Jesus said: “Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.” This message, coming in response to the question whether it was lawful for Jews to pay taxes to Caesar, is about circumstances when it is desirable for the Christian to submit to earthly authority.

Church leaders agitating for change should look at themselves first. Their priority should be to put their house in order. Does their church practice democracy? Is there openness and transparency? Are there cases of mismanagement and incompetence? Are there cliques and divisions among the congregation?

If church leaders want change, they should just follow Jesus Christ. They need no other role model.

STEVE ROADS,
Kuala Lumpur.

Did Prophet Mohamed Teach Muslims To Hate Jews?

By Admin

The Holy Quran refers to Jews and Christians as People of the Book. So why is i that Muslims the world over have such hatred towards Jews and the State of Israel? What's baffling is the fact that Muslims such as Malaysians who have not met with a Jew or an Israeli in their lifetime would harbor such resentment and hatred towards Jews and Israelis.

The Scribe can't find anywhere in history where Jews or Israelis had harmed Malaysians. It was the Japanese during World War II that caused much hardship to Malaysians. Later, the Indonesians under Soekarno wanted to 'Ganyang' (Crush) Malaysia. So why do Muslims, especially Malays get so worked up when it comes to Jews or Israelis? It is rather sickening to note that whenever the Israelis attack Palestinians (even in retaliation or self defense), Muslims the world over including those here in Malaysia would go berserk.

However, when blood thirsty Muslim Terrorists (read NOT Fighters) such as Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah et al blow up innocent Israeli women and children in a bus, there would be a deafening silence from Muslims even here in Malaysia including from the so-called Just World Trust of Chandra Muzaffar.

When Chelsea played against Malaysia in a friendly football match, their Israeli star Yossi Benayoun had to put up with racial and religious abuse from Malay Muslim football fans. The question here is that why are we having problems with people who have not done a thing to harm us? Why is the BN/Umno Regime propagating this hate campaign against Jews and Israelis? Was this 'HATE' preached by the Prophet Mohamed pbuh to Muslims?

AWAS! Tengku Razaleigh's AMANAH is an UMNO Trojan Horse!!!

By Admin

Angkatan Amanah Merdeka or AMANAH was launched by Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah out of the blue. The Scribe smells a rat in AMANAH. Talk is rife that former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed has been undermining incumbent PM Najib Razak through the actions of the Police and PERKASA.

Mahathir is very sore with Najib because of many reasons. Among them being Najib's close relationship with the Singapore. However, it is as good as anyone's guess that Mahathir wants Deputy PM Muhydeen Yassin to become PM so that his son Mukhriz Mahathir can become DPM.

The writing is on the wall of Najib Razak's political demise. Even though Umno appears to be divided into three main warring factions, the one thing all three warring factions don't want to see is that their internal sabotaging actually putting Pakatan Rakyat into Putrajaya. Thus we have AMANAH, another proxy of Umno trying to fool the Rakyat (People) by diverting their attention from the Evil of BN/Umno to the positives of BN/Umno via AMANAH.

If Tengku Razaleigh is truly decent as a politician, why is he still with Umno. After all, just look who are with AMANAH. Former MCA President Ong Tee Keat, former Sarawak DCM Daniel Tajem, former Tourism Minister Kadir Sheikh Fadzir and KITA President Zaid Ibrahim. Already, we have Zaid Ibrahim wanting AMANAH to adopt Pakatan Rakyat's issues. What AMANAH is trying to do is to hoodwink the Rakyat into believing that a post-Najib BN/Umno is similar to the ideals and aspirations of Pakatan Rakyat, so why the need for regime change when the 'needs' of the Rakyat are met by a 'reformed' BN/Umno courtesy of AMANAH. That's the reason why AMANAH is claiming to be the 'Third Force' in Malaysian politics when it should be MCLM.

THE STAR'S JOCELINE TAN IS A JOURNALISTIC PROSTITUTE AND TRAITOR!

By Admin

The Star's Joceline Tan (pic above) has clearly shown to the World that she is a 'Journalistic Whore' just like fellow Christian and colleague, Wong Chun Wai. Joceline has taken a cheap shot at the Christian Church in Malaysia by insinuating that the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) and the Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia are against the BN/Umno Regime of Najib Razak. Joceline laments of the 'lukewarm' response of the Roman Catholic Church in particular of Najib Razak's meeting with Pope Benedict XVI and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Vatican and Malaysia.

What Joceline and the likes of Wong Chun Wai fail to see or hear is that Jesus Christ taught Christians to stand up against tyranny and oppression. This after all, is what BN/Umno is synonymous for, with laws like the ISA, EO and the brutal repression, detention and murder of law abiding citizens in the hands of the state controlled instruments of the BN/Umno Regime such as the Police and the MACC. Joceline it appears, is willing to prostitute herself by setting up her brothers and sisters of the Christian faith to more tyranny and oppression by the agents of the Evil BN/Umno Regime.

How much were you paid for writing this piece, Joceline? You must remember the blood of the Saints shall be in your hands Joceline. It is hard to believe that a Catholic Christian like Joceline Tan who grew up in College Square (Lorong Maktab), Pulau Tikus, went to school at Convent Pulau Tikus and later to St.Xaviers' Institution, and attended Mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception would betray her brethren to the Satanic BN/Umno Regime just like how Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for a few silver coins. The Scribe wonder's how much Joceline has been paid by Najib to betray the Christians? Repent now Joceline before it is too late!

Uncle Bersih Is Not Insane. You Are, Najib Razak and PDRM! Release Uncle Bersih Now !!!

Admin Note:

The Scribe calls for the immediate release of Uncle Bersih (Hii Tiong Huat) from the psychiatric ward. This action seems similar to the action taken by by US authorities in 1917 when peaceful American women protesters who demanded voting rights for women were incarcerated in the prison's psychiatric ward where no one was allowed to visit them, including lawyers and family members. While in China, those who are against the government are deemed as psychotic and being kept in the psychiatric hospital. It looks like our government is adopting this insane practices. The Scribe would also like to highlight the heroics of another senior citizen Auntie Bersih below in an article from The Herald.

As Bertrand Russell put it "Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric" .

Courtesy of The Herald

Quiet has settled over Saturday’s (July 9) chaos but one image is still making waves on the Internet — the picture of an elderly woman in yellow, drenched in rain and chemical-laced water, walking away from riot police while clutching on to a long-stemmed flower and a near-empty mineral water bottle.

She is Annie Ooi, a 65-year-old retired English teacher who took a bus from Setapak in the early morning of July 9 to join thousands of others in Bersih 2.0’s march for free and fair elections. An unknown man had offered her the flower in the morning and she waved it like a flag throughout the four-hour march. Netizens have dubbed her “Aunty Bersih”, and even Malaysia’s “Lady of Liberty”, for placing her health and safety at risk to join a march the government had declared illegal.

Pictures of the diminutive Ooi strolling in the war zone that Kuala Lumpur had turned into are all over the Internet, inviting messages of awe and wonderment from netizens across the country. On Facebook, at least three fan pages were set up in dedication to Ooi immediately after the event. One page called “Malaysian Lady of Liberty” attracted 17,176 “likes” as of 9am this morning. Ooi was one of the few who dared to turn up in yellow to mark the occasion, despite earlier warnings that those with clothes indicating support for the outlawed Bersih 2.0 coalition would be arrested.

Speaking to The Malaysian Insider through her daughter over Facebook chat last night, Ooi confirmed that she had been tear gassed four times and sprayed with the water cannon once during Saturday’s pandemonium. She said she was unsure of what time the rally was scheduled to start or where, but was determined to support its cause by participating in it even if she had to do it alone. “She took the bus to General Hospital because the roads into town were blocked,” her daughter related. “She walked to Chow Kit, Maju Junction, went into the back lane of Little India to pass Masjid Jamek, avoiding cops, heading to National Mosque but was stopped at Dayabumi.”

There, Ooi was interviewed by one uniformed policeman and four others in plainclothes. They asked for her IC and recorded her details, then asked her why she was dressed in yellow. “Why can’t I wear yellow?” she asked in return. According to a post by a blogger who claimed to have spoken to Ooi before the march began, the feisty retiree had asked other protesters why they did not turn up in yellow as well. “Why do we have to feel so scared in our own home land . . . and by own countrymen,” she had reportedly said. A newbie at street protests, Ooi also did not know what to do in the event that she got gassed, and had not brought anything to protect herself, her daughter said. “She wasn’t prepared for any of the attacks,” her daughter said. “She went without protection; no goggles, no masks, no salt, nothing. It was horrible . . . the coughing, and didn’t know how to stop the discomfort and pain. After the second gassing, she was offered salt by someone and it helped a lot.”

Despite this, eyewitnesses claimed on the internet that Ooi had marched on determinedly during the protest and despite the chaos, even yelled at others not to run. When told to ask her mother if she would dare to brave another march for the same cause, her daughter said, quoting Ooi, “Without a doubt”. “There was a very strong oneness in spirit which she had never felt before in this country,” added the daughter again quoting Ooi.

“Especially from the younger generation which have their years ahead of them yet marched on despite the possibility of ruining their lives by getting arrested.” Ooi was among the thousands of protesters who took to the streets of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday to march in support of Bersih 2.0’s demand for electoral reforms. More than a thousand people were arrested, and chaos broke out at midday after the police fired tear gas canisters and sprayed water cannons to break up the crowd.

Malaysian Regime Forces Christians To Respect Islam

By Admin

The Leader of the ruling BN/Umno Regime in Malaysia, Najib Razak told Christians in Malaysia that they must first respect Islam if they want Muslims to respect Christians. This appears to be a veiled threat to Christians to submit to the Islamist agenda of the BN/Umno Regime.

This statement comes days after Prime Minister Najib met with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican which saw the establishment of diplomatic relations between Putrajaya and the Holy See. Many have doubted the sincerity of Najib in wanting to establish ties with the Vatican when hardliners within his United Malays National Organization (UMNO) consider the Pope and Christians as enemies of Islam. This was evident when the Umno owned TV3 and Utusan Malaysia newspaper called the Pope 'Biadap' (bad mannered) following his Regensburg address regarding Prophet Mohamed.

It is also interesting to see what response the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur Murphy Pakiam is going to give with this threat coming from Najib. many, including Catholic laity and clergy see Archbishop Murphy and Penang Diocese Bishop Antoni Selvanayagam as kowtowing to Najib and his Regime. This is a stark contrast from the no holds barred stance of Melaka-Johor Diocese Bishop Paul Tan towards the BN/Umno Regime. Interestingly, most homilies in Catholic Churches in Malaysia did not mention directly about the Bersih 2.0 Rally nor did it contain any support for the release of Sungai Siput MP Dr Jeyakumar Devaraj and the other political detainees. Interestingly, Dr. Jeyakumar is a Catholic.

The majority of Christians in Malaysia have always not only respected Islam but also other religions as well even though they maybe some Christian zealots who would go around condemning everyone to hell if they did not accept Jesus Christ. It is Christians who have to put up with insults from Muslims in Malaysia whether it was through Government legislation, the media, at the work place, schools or at institutions of higher learning.

If Najib Razak really want Christians to respect Islam or himself for that matter, he needs to sincerely do the following :

1. Charge the Al Islam journalist who took and spat the Holy Communion.

2. Charge the Mufti of Perak Harussani Zakaria for claiming that a Catholic Church
in Ipoh was converting Muslims.

3. Revoke to ban on the 'Allah' issue.

4. Allow unrestricted access to Bibles in the Malay language

5. Take action against Utusan Malaysia for claiming that Christians wanted to make
Christianity the official religion of Malaysia.

6. Ask TV3, RTM. Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian to apologize to Christians for
calling the Pope 'Biadap'.

7. Prohibit Islamic authorities from snatching bodies of non Muslims.

8. Stop the persecution and harassment of Muslim converts by the State.

9. Take action against Ridhuan Tee Abdullah for insulting Christianity.

If Najib Razak got guts, then he should have no problem doing the above, but alas this is Jibby who hates the color Yellow but is yellow all over. Respect must be earned dear PM. You can't force people to respect you. Respect will only come if Muslim respect Christians as equals and vice versa. SHALOM.

Massive Corruption & Murder in billion-dollar deal tied to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak

Admin Note:

The noose could be tightening on one of Malaysia's greatest military procurement scandals, the US$1 billion purchase of French-built Scorpene submarines, commissioned by then-Defence Minister and current Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in 2002. Meanwhile, French lawyer William Bourdon is expected to reveal details on the submarine deal with French firm DCNS at the Malaysian civil rights group SUARAM dinner in Penang tonight. It will be anybody's guess whether Umno's Legalized Thugs' the Royal Malaysian Police or their bona fide agents PERKASA, KIMMA, PEKIDA or Ghani Mamak and Gang would try to disrupt the SUARAM dinner function where Mr. Bourdon is due to speak.

The Scorpene submarine scandal is also linked to the brutal yet mysterious murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaaribuu who in turn is linked to Prime Minister Najib Razak. According to French Newspaper Liberation. The following is an excerpt of that article:

A November 19, 2006 report from the Malaysian police, which has been kept secret until now, reveals precise descriptions how this young woman, a member of Asian high society, was killed. In this document, one of the killers, a policeman of the Malaysian Special Branch named Sirul Omar, replied to questions by an officer at a police station close to the murder scene.

"When the Chinese woman saw that I had a gun, she begged me to spare her, saying she was pregnant. Azilah [Sirul's commanding officer] grabbed her and threw her on the ground. I immediately shot the left side of her face. Then Azilah took off her clothes and put them in a black plastic bag. Azilah noticed that her hand was still moving. He ordered me to shoot again, which I did," said Sirul. This is the first confirmation of Altantuya's killers' identity."Then we carried her body into the woods. Azilah wrapped explosives around her legs, abdomen and head, and we blew her up." In March 2005 Altantuya and Baginda went to Europe, touring France, Germany, Italy and Portugal, staying in plush hotels and dining in the finest restaurants.

This trip, however, was not only for pleasure: the contract for the sale of the submarines had been signed in 2002, but important details had yet to be settled. "We knew that Baginda was used by (then) Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak as an intermediary for weapons deals, especially the high-level ones," says a regional security-affairs expert. At the end of March 2005 the couple was in Paris, where they met with Najib Razak. A picture shows the three in a Parisian club. "Tuya showed me the picture. She said that one of the men was her boyfriend, Abdul Razak Baginda, and the other the big boss, Najib Razak," said Altantuya's best friend Amy. "I asked her if they were brothers because of the names, but she said no, that Najib Razak was the prime minister." Najib Razak has sworn on the Koran that he never met Altantuya. According to a private detective (Bala), now in hiding in India, Tuya was also the occasional mistress of the deputy prime minister, who was introduced to her by Baginda at the end of 2004.

In October 2006, Altantuya was informed that the commission paid by Armaris had arrived in the Kuala Lumpur bank account of Perimekar, a company owned by Baginda. Altantuya went to Kuala Lumpur to claim her share of the commission from Baginda; she said she was entitled to US$500,000 (Bt18 million). She and Baginda had already broken up prior to this. Meanwhile, a jealous Rosmah Mansor, the feared businesswoman and wife of Najib Razak, objected to any payment to Altantuya.
For several days, Altantuya harassed her ex-lover. On October 18, Baginda could no longer tolerate the daily scenes made by Altantuya in front of his house. He contacted the director of the Special Branch, Musa Safrie, who happened also to be Najib Razak's aide de camp. On October 19, 2006, just before 9pm, two Special Branch officers, Azilah Hadridan and Sirul Omar, were sent to Baginda's house, where Altantuya was gesticulating and shouting.

They were ordered to "neutralise the Chinese woman". They kidnapped her, shot her several times, then destroyed her body with C4 explosives, which could only be obtained from the Defence Ministry. Altantuya's entry into Malaysia was erased from immigration records. Somehow, the local police were tipped off that something odd had happened in front of Baginda's house, and events unfolded that even Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak could not impede. He tried to cover up the case. Before the arrest of Baginda, [the deputy prime minister] sent him an SMS: "I will see the inspector-general of police at 11am today... The problem will be solved. Be cool". A few hours later, Baginda was arrested along with Azilah and Sirul. After a trial considered dubious by many observers, Baginda was acquitted of having ordered the murder and was released in November 2008. Accused of having perpetrated the murder, Azilah and Sirul appeared in court last month. If convicted, their sentences will be death. The verdict is scheduled for April 9. As for Baginda, he has settled in the UK with his family. He has never uttered a word of regret on the fate of the woman who shared his life for two years
.

The revelation of this report in the French newspaper Liberation is the latest chapter in this dramatic saga featuring French arms dealers, Mongolian shamans and Malaysian politicians.

Joseph Breham, a member of a French legal team that filed complaints in a Paris court in connection with a potentially explosive scandal over the billion-dollar purchase of French submarines by Malaysia is due to land in Kuala Lumpur today (April 28) to seek further information on the case and to speak with their clients, the Malaysia human rights organization Suaram.

As Asia Sentinel has reported at length, the deal was engineered by then-Defense Minister Najib Tun Razak, now Malaysia's Prime Minister, in 2002 and resulted in a massive €114 million (US$151.1 million at current exchange rates) commission for one of Najib's closest associates, Abdul Razak Baginda. The purchase price included two Scorpene-class diesel submarines built by Armaris, a subsidiary of the French defense giant DCN (formerly Direction des Constructions Navales) and the lease of a third retired submarine manufactured by a joint venture between DCN and
Spanish company Agosta.

Breham, one of the three lawyers who filed the case with Parisian prosecutors on behalf of Suaram, told Asia Sentinel the French court has opened a preliminary investigation into the matter and that he would be advising his clients on the
next steps. Breham said he will also hold a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today to give some details to local reporters. Breham, Renaud Semerdjian and William Bourdon, the lead lawyer, filed the request to investigate bribery and kickback allegations against DCN first in December and filed additional documents in February.

The case has been making headlines in Malaysia - although few in the mainstream media, which are owned by the country's leading political parties -- since the gruesome October 2006 murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu, a Mongolian translator and spurned lover of Razak Baginda who had accompanied him to France on some of the transactions over the submarines. Altantuya was shot in the head and her body was blown up with military explosives in a patch of jungle outside of Kuala Lumpur. Two of Najib's bodyguards, who were directed to intercede with her by Musa Safri, Najib's chief of staff, have been convicted of the killing. Neither Najib nor Musa has ever been questioned by law enforcement officials about the case.

Although records showed Najib was in France at the same time as Altantuya and Razak Baginda, he has repeatedly sworn to Allah that he had never known the beauteous Mongolian. One report filed by a private detective hired by Razak Baginda said she had been Najib's lover first. After she was killed, authorities discovered a letter she had written saying she was blackmailing Razak Altantuya for US$500,000, although she did not say why.

In addition to the cost of the submarines and the whopping "commission" fee, it has now emerged that under the terms of the original contract, the vessels were basically bare of armaments and detection devices. The Malaysian military must
pay an additional €130 million to equip them.

"You mean we bought bare metal?" wrote one incredulous and anonymous military official in an email to Asia Sentinel.

The charges go well beyond the Malaysian purchase. Judges in the Paris Prosecution Office have been probing a wide range of corruption charges involving similar submarine sales and the possibility of bribery and kickbacks to top officials
in France, Pakistan and other countries. The Malaysian piece of the puzzle was added in two filings, on Dec. 4, 2009 and Feb. 23 this year.

French politicians seem to have a knack for backhanders. On October 26, in a trial that centered on illegal arms sales to Angola, Jean-Christophe Mitterrand, the son of the late president Francois Mitterand, was given a two-year suspended sentence and ordered to pay a €375,000 fine for receiving embezzled funds. The court ruled that he had accepted millions of euros in "consultant fees" on the arms deals between 1993 and 1998. In the dock with him were 42 people accused of selling weapons to Angola in defiance of a UN arms embargo, or of taking payments from the arms dealers and using their influence to facilitate the sales. The trial, it was said, shined a light into a murky world of secret payments made in cash and discreet deals linking Parisian high society with one of Africa's longest-running wars. But it hasn't shined a light on what happened elsewhere with contracts concluded by the representatives of France, and particularly by DCN.

For instance, 11 French engineers employed by DCN, which peddled subs to Pakistan, were blown up in a bus bombing in 2002 which was first thought to have been perpetrated by Islamic militants. The 11 were in Karachi to work on three
Agosta 90 B submarines that the Pakistani military had bought in 1994, with payment to be spread over a decade. According to Reuters, commissions were promised to middlemen including Pakistani and Saudi Arabian nationals. Agosta is a subsidiary of DCN. It is believed that Pakistani military officials blew up the bus in retaliation for the cancellation of the payments.

In the Taiwan case, the French company Thales, formerly Thompson-CSF sold six DCN-built La Fayette-class 'stealth' frigates to Taiwan in 1992 for US$2.8 billion. At least six people connected with the case have died under suspicious circumstances including a Taiwanese naval captain named Yin Ching-feng, who was believed to have been killed because he planned to go to the authorities about fraud connected with the case. His nephew, who was also pursuing the case, a Thomson employee in Taiwan and a French intelligence agent were also among the dead. It gradually emerged that some $600 million in commissions had been paid into various Swiss accounts set up by Andrew Wang Chuan-pu, the Taiwan agent for Thomson-CSF. In October 2008 a French judge finally ruled that no one could be prosecuted because of lack of evidence.

The Malaysian allegations revolve around the €114 million payment to a Malaysia-based company called Perimekar for support services surrounding the sale of the submarines. Perimekar was wholly owned by another company, KS Ombak Laut Sdn Bhd, which in turn was controlled by Najib's best friend, Razak Baginda, whose wife Mazalinda, a lawyer and former magistrate, was the principal shareholder, according to the French lawyers.

In the complaints filed in Paris, the issue revolves around what, if anything, Razak Baginda's Perimekar company did to deserve €114 million. Zainal Abidin, the deputy defense minister at the time of the sale, told parliament that Perimekar had received the amount - 11 percent of the sale price of the submarines - for "coordination and support services." The Paris filing alleges that there were neither support nor services.

Perimekar was registered in 2001, a few months before the signing of the contracts for the sale, the Paris complaint states. The company, it said flatly, "did not have the financial resources to complete the contract." A review of the accounts in 2001 and 2002, the complaint said, "makes it an obvious fact that this corporation had absolutely no capacity, or legal means or financial ability and/or expertise to support such a contract."

"None of the directors and shareholders of Perimekar have the slightest experience in the construction, maintenance or submarine logistics," the complaint adds. "Under the terms of the contract, €114 million were related to the different stages of construction of the submarines." The apparent consideration, supposedly on the part of Perimekar, "would be per diem and Malaysian crews and accommodation costs during their training. There is therefore no link between billing steps and stages of completion of the consideration."

Malay's Must Be Real Idiots To Accept Morons As Malays Just Because They Are Muslims!

Admin Note:

It really baffles The Scribe as to why Malays are still accepting Malay wannabes like Ridhuan Tee and the Mamaks of KIMMA as Malays. In reality, everyone knows that in this Ketuanan Melayu (Malay Supremacy) land any Tom, Dick or Harry will become a Malay if he professes the Kalimah Syahadat and becomes a saudara baru.

Don't the Malays know that their race is now being represented by imposter's like Ridhuan Tee, the Mamaks and now, Bangladeshis, Filipino Muslims and Pakistanis whose only agenda is to be more Malay and more Muslim than the Malays themselves and in the process make the genuine Malays a minority in their own land.

That title – ‘Clear And Present Danger’ – caught my attention in Malaysiakini. I had instant thoughts of Jack Ryan, the Intelligence officer every country wants to have.
For those of you who read Tom Clancy, you’d probably know it was from a title of one of his books. Others may remember it being a movie based on that book.

But did you know that it was first used by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr in his opinion regarding the freedom of speech? He says:
The question in every case is whether the words used are used in such circumstances and are of such a nature as to create a clear and present danger that they will bring about the substantive evils that the United States Congress has a right to prevent. It is a question of proximity and degree.

It was then that I understood how apt the title in Malaysiakini was: Ibrahim Ali a clear and present danger

That being said, I do not advocate the ISA against Ibrahim Ali. It is a draconian law and should be replaced with other laws that demonstrate human rights even when the perpetrator is not deserving of those rights.

Besides, it’s not just Ibrahim Ali who is a clear and present danger. He may be the noisiest of the attention-seekers, but he’s not necessarily the most dangerous.

We have overlooked a huge blimp on the face of humanity. His name is Ridhuan Tee.
His blog is still spewing bile – in what seems to be a logical and reasonable manner.
This man is seditious in every sense of the word.

While most people can agree that this Utusan Malaysia fiasco is a major boo-boo by UMNO, Ridhuan Tee attempts the impossible – to defend the spin-bloggers and even Utusan. Some excerpts:

Based on my experience of the Christian religion [Ridhuan Tee claims to have been Christian once] and tales from some church-going Christian friends, the newspaper report last Saturday about the movement to Christianize [the country] was not surprising.

It cannot be denied that there are ambitions in that direction, although perhaps not as extreme as reported or described. However, to completely deny that the movement does not exist is unfair to Utusan. Utusan seems to be alone. Its friends have become opponents.

The Christian movement in Malaysia through the ultra kiasu [he is referring to the Chinese here] and several other political parties has long existed. The chief ultra kiasu in Selangor is the main planner.

Yet we keep giving them the benefit of the doubt [see how he implies that the Muslim Malays are a tolerant lot being taken for granted?]. Every Sunday, the Selangor ultra kiasu bulletin is provided and distributed free at the church. The goal is to maintain power.

I feel increasingly sick at heart when I heard a Christian senior minister going as far as to say, “What is wrong with a Christian becoming the Prime Minister?” It is not wrong because the constitution does not specify religion of the person who can become Prime Minister. The issue is that those who understand the history and politics of Malaysia would be most hesitant to seize the position of Muslims (Malays). In this case, we want a leader who has integrity and is respected. [he is implying that only a Muslim Malay could do the job].

It is the duty of Christians to spread their religion across the world, as enshrined in their holy book. As is our responsibility towards Islam. The special circumstance in our country, is that Islam is protected from propaganda of other elements.

They want to make Southeast Asia a Christian hub after their success in Indonesia. Their next target is Malaysia, after success in Singapore. Among the target areas are Mentakab, Kuantan, Perak, and so forth. Don’t bother mentioning the states which are ruled by the ultra kiasu. That is their paradise. Many of their representatives [Pakatan?] are strong Christians [ah, so it's political after all - he's saying vote for UMNO, not Pakatan].

Construction of houses of worship should have a formula [he means restricted 'ratio'], rather than allowing anyone with a lot of money to build anywhere he likes. Based on that formula, one day Malaysia would be filled with churches and temples, due to their tremendous ability compared to Muslims, because they have an international network [this is fear-mongering, claiming that Christians will take over the nation].

I still remember how two years ago, an al-Islam magazine reporter in July 2009 was arrested for going undercover in the church [arrested? no such thing!]. There was a national outcry, and the management of the magazine al-Islam was severely criticised. There was no one who defended the magazine and journalists, and politicians even issued hurtful statements. [That al-Islam reporter got away scot-free for the ruckus he caused. As usual. This fool Icker Tee is spinning himself dizzy.].

Sometimes I am very sad when I observe our politics. Not defending friends. Friends become enemies simply due to fear of losing power. If there are any issues they feel are not favorable, they are willing to stab a friend.

I’m not saying masquerading in the church should not be censured, but as Malaysians, we also have a right to know what happened there. Was it not true, Muslims were being converted at the church? If it affects the Muslims, there is silence on our part but if it affects them [the ultra kiasu/Christians], they all consider themselves victims. Isn’t the issue of apostasy to be defended by Muslims more important than siding with the cause taken up for those who die when they are being investigated by the authorities as they may well even be guilty. [I think he is saying the deaths in custody are unimportant.]

Lina Joy is just one among so many young Malays who have plunged into the valley of unbelief (i.e. become an infidel). I do not know if the top leaders are aware of this wave of Christianization, or do they know but are unable to contain it? To date, they have not addressed these unhealthy symptoms, or are deliberately waiting to let the issue resolve itself.

No doubt there are churches that are centres for condemning and putting down the Islamic religion. Watch this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxmt78dtxsg.

How can a Christian priest insult and condemn Islam? Imagine if we were to speak so, then we will be criticized, slammed and come under the glare of great publicity. [Yeah right! It's stupid to the point of being comical]. This youtube video is just one in a thousand, many more criticize Islam. Muslims remain silent. No protest is made. According to my friend, this is what happens in many churches in Malaysia.

Imagine if we were to do the same, then the Christians would all unite to fight, to urge the government to take action against the Muslims who criticize Christianity.

Although non-Muslims are forbidden from spreading their religion to Muslims as guaranteed by the constitution, but they do not care about observing the strictures, because we are not concerned. We are too lenient for fear of losing votes [Aren't you impressed by how brazenly he tries to claim that Muslims are being oppressed and taken advantage of by the Christians?].

All our weaknesses are obvious to Christians. For these reasons, they are so bold and hard-hitting. We are just too fearful. I would like to remind all of us, our strength is not dependent on the Malay but our strength depends on Islam. If Islam among the Malays is destroyed, the Malays will be destroyed some day.

If you would like to read more fear-mongering and outright lies, you know exactly where to go – Icker Tee’s website.

The educated and moderate Muslim Malay would not be fazed by this sort of foaming-in-the-mouth.

But what about the impressionable, not so intelligent one?

What’s scary is that his blog has got 2,000 followers. It would be of great concern if they think he’s someone who knows the Chinese psyche because even if he may be Chinese, he hasn’t got a clue.

Najib Razak Suffers From 'Mild Stroke' in UK

Courtesy of Martin Jalleh

It appears that the Prime Minister has suffered a mild “brain attack” whilst on an official visit to UK. He experienced sudden trouble speaking or understanding speech, dizziness, pigheadedness, loss of “balance or coordination”, “spinning” sensations, and “brain seizures”.

It happened when Najib was telling CNN in an interview conducted in London that police action on those who took part in the Bersih 2.0 march on July 9, was “quite mild”. There was no “undue use of force”. It was of course not as mild as his initial response when he even initially claimed there was "no physical contact between police and protesters”!

On the arrests of more than 1,600 protesters, well, “…(t)hey were released after eight hours and they were treated very well… the demonstrators were dispersed using minimum force.” Meanwhile, back in Bolehland, a group of brave Bersih marchers handed over a memorandum urging Suhakam (Malaysian Human Rights Commission) to probe the Najib-ordered crackdown.

Four of them recalled their terrifying and traumatic experience of police aggression and assault on that day. One alleged that a policeman threatened to kill him when arresting him. There have also been countless first-person accounts of having been pounced on, pushed, punched, pinned down and pulverized by the police! They have been confirmed by witnesses.

Pictures and video clips revealed that it was no walk in the park as the PM has suggested. They pointed to the brutal truth that the police action was far from “mild” mean and menacing! This was further confirmed in a detailed report by a team of 100 people of the Malaysian Bar Council who openly monitored the rally.

Their conclusion: “Police used excessive and unnecessary force against Bersih rally participants while arrests were made randomly and arbitrarily.” Officials from the UN, US and UK have expressed their concern and criticism and castigated the authorities for their heavy and high-handedness and strong-arm tactics..

The influential Guardian called the Malaysian government gormless and said Najib will face global backlash for his “characteristic heavy-handedness” in handling the Bersih rally. The signed statement by 11 doctors revealing that “police had fired tear gas and chemical-laced water into the compounds of the Tung Shin and Chinese Maternity Hospitals” reduces Najib’s “mild police action” to sheer nonsense! (Please refer to my article on: Liow’s Tongue Lies!)

“It is repulsive that the authorities entrusted with policing the nation and protecting the weak and needy, have shamelessly denied publicly, the occurrence of these incidents in spite of countless photo/video and eyewitness accounts of what was evident to all independent observers,” they said.

During the CNN interview Najib desperately argued:“It will come up to see that we are all for fair and clean elections. And as you know, the last general election, you know, the ruling party lost five states. And we were deprived of two-thirds majority.”

To put it very mildly, dear Najib, if the last elections were truly fair and clean, you probably would not be PM today!

Autocracy, Elections and Fiscal Policy in Malaysia

By Admin

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will be meeting with Pope Benedict XIV at Gondolfo Castle on Monday. This meeting comes against the backdrop of violent repression against democratic voices in Malaysia.

Even Christianity is subjected to immense restrictions and threats by Najib Razak's ruling BN/Umno regime and it's proxies such as the racist Malay supremacist group PERKASA.

The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) expressed its deepest concern regarding the violent repression of the peaceful protesters in Malaysia. Read here about Autocracy, Elections and Fiscal Policy in Malaysia http://spot.colorado.edu/~pepinsky/docs/malaysia_pbcs.pdf

Gormless BN/Umno & It's Police Thugs Sowing The Seeds of a Hibiscus Revolution In Malaysia

Admin Note:

Certain quarters have launched a deliberate campaign to undermine the police by claiming that they had resorted to violence to quell the July 9 illegal rally, said deputy inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar (pic above). The Scribe says that such arrogant and belligerent attitude by the BN/Umno controlled Royal Malaysian Police that has now fueled what many are now saying are the seeds for a Hibiscus Revolution in Malaysia. Deputy Inspector General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar knows no sense of decency or respect for human rights. It was under the watch of Khalid as Selangor Chief Police Officer that the Teoh Beng Hock, Kugan, Aminulrashid and a host of many reported and unreported deaths and torture under police custody occurred. Even the two Rottweilers that was put down in Penang have more sympathy than what Deputy IGP Khalid can ever dream to get.

If there's going to be a 'Hibiscus Revolution' in Malaysia, it would be the doing of the Police and their masters BN/Umno. To the Malaysian Police and BN/Umno, The Scribe saith unto thee " You reap what you sow."

Courtesy of Guardian Newspapers Limited

The Mubarak model doesn't work It is not in the same league as Arab spring uprisings in Egypt and elsewhere, but Malaysia's fancifully named “hibiscus revolution” has potential, at least, to inflict a winter of discontent on the gormless government of Najib Razak. That's something the British Prime Minister David Cameron should bear in mind when Najib comes touting for business in London from July 14. Bilateral trade and investment is important. Respect for basic human rights more so.

Najib reacted with characteristic heavy-handedness when tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Kuala Lumpur at the weekend demanding reformasi — democratic reform — and an end to a defective electoral system which guarantees that Najib's party, Umno, representing the Malay majority, stays in power indefinitely.

About 1,700 people were arrested and many injured as police used baton charges, water cannon and teargas to break up peaceful protests. One protester, identified as Baharuddin Ahmad, 59, collapsed and later died near the Petronas Towers in central Kuala Lumpur while fleeing teargas.

Amnesty International said police had beaten many demonstrators and demanded an investigation into claims they had failed to provide prompt assistance to Baharuddin.

“Prime Minister Najib's government rode roughshod over thousands of Malaysians exercising their right to peaceful protest,” Amnesty said. “This violent repression... flies in the face of international human rights standards and cannot be allowed to continue. David Cameron should tell Prime Minister Najib that these human rights violations are unacceptable.” The protests are the product of rising tensions linked to mooted early elections, spending cuts, political upheavals in neighbouring Thailand and Singapore, establishment cronyism, curbs on public assembly and debate, and state-imposed censorship considered draconian even by regional standards.

Marimuthu Manogaran of the Democratic Action party, representing the ethnic Chinese minority, said many of the protesters were first timers. “Young people [are] coming out there to demand their rights... and I think that is a good sign for Malaysia,” he told Luke Hunt of the Diplomat magazine.

Another report, denied by police, said a hospital, where protesters had taken refuge, was attacked by security forces. Bersih 2.0, the opposition “coalition for clean and fair elections,” called for a royal commission of inquiry and vowed to continue its reformasi campaign, come what may.

Far from admitting fault, Najib has threatened more strong-arm tactics. “Don't doubt our strength. If we want to create chaos, we can. Umno has three million members. If we gather one million members, it is more than enough. We can conquer Kuala Lumpur,” he said.

Such threats seem ill-advised. When elected in 2009, Najib promised to bridge political, ethnic and religious divisions. Now he is in danger of exacerbating them, as his old boss, Malaysia's founding father Mahathir Mohammed, suggested in a recent interview.

Malaysia is not immune to the international zeitgeist, any more than its economy is immune to global trends. This latter consideration explains why Najib is in London. And it gives Cameron and other European leaders leverage should they choose to use it.

Malaysians need only look north to see how Thai voters defied the political-military establishment and voted in a leader of their choice. And if Malaysians look south to Singapore or east to Hong Kong, they see entrenched ruling elites under determined challenge by activists emboldened by the spirit of change.

Led intelligently and openly, Malaysia could be a paradigm for South-East Asia. Led repressively, it could fall apart. Najib must get on the right side of history. The Mubarak model doesn't work. — © Guardian Newspapers Limited, 2011

Malaysian PM Najib Razak Gets 'Jaundice' in London!

Courtesy of Suara Sarawak

The massive Bersih 2.0 rally in Kuala Lumpur has made Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak an embarrassing guest for the British premier and the Queen this week.

Their respective briefing teams have made both, PM David Cameron and the Queen, well aware of the issue – that Barisan Nasional has been in power for over 50 years, achieving their current status as one of the world’s longest-lasting regimes.

They have also been told that the people who have been criticising the BN regime have ended up being beaten in the streets and locked in jail without charge under the so-called Emergency Ordinance and are without access to their lawyers.

They were also told that in Malaysia people are hauled into detention and treated like “enemies of the state” for wearing the colour yellow and for politely requesting an end to electoral corruption.

It was bad enough having Rupert Murdoch turn up in the middle of the biggest scandal in years over media corruption but entertaining Najib must have been even more uncomfortable for Cameron and the Queen.

Malaysian sympathisers in London have not made it any easier for Najib.

Throughout the week Najib’s British hosts have been constantly reminded of the real nature of their guest. “Flash demos” by demonstrators have sprung outside his various key engagements.

These hardcore demonstrators weren’t going to go away easily and infuriatingly for BN, the British police were less pliant and refused to do anything to budge the demonstrators.

In fact, the local Westminster police acknowledged to the demonstrators that they are constantly pestered by the Malaysian High Commission, who have been asking for information about the locations of the protests and details of the organisers.

But the UK is a free country and the police have politely told Najib’s people that they are not prepared to harrass citizens or remove their freedom of expression in order to spare the blushes of a visiting “dignatory”.

The flash crowd that turned up to boo Najib’s event at Mansion House (the official residence of the City of London’s Mayor) was larger than yesterday’s outside Downing Street.
They had been joined by Amnesty International, who have spoken out about the treatment of the Bersih demonstrators at the weekend. Amnesty commands considerable respect in the UK. The British police refused to indulge the Najib government's demand that they ban Bersih-linked protests in London during the Malaysian premier's visit.

The Malaysian PM had come to court the City’s investors and it was embarrassing. Investors do not like countries with uncertain human rights records and an unhappy middle class.

Few non-Malaysians turned up in the end, but some of the investors who did went and chatted first to the crowd of protesters outside. One, who described himself as ‘working for a global investment company’, said that he was well aware of the human rights issues in Malaysia and confirmed that his company monitors the matter and that such issues are of concern.

Meanwhile, the main topic in the crowd was the news that Najib’s lunch with Cameron had been cancelled. Was it owing to the human rights issues or simply because the UK PM was too busy they wondered? Neither looked particularly good from the perspective of the Malaysia PM !

Once again this gathering went off peacefully and the policing was minimal and friendly. Malaysia secret service people were there of course, frantically taking photos of the crowd with the doubtless intention of finding out as much about the Malaysian nationals there and later making their lives as difficult as they could. So we photographed them too.

Najib swept in at the agreed time with a big convoy of Malaysian cars and hurried up the red carpet inside. He saw the crowd and gave them a cheery wave – as if they had come up to give him their support! But, he didn’t risk going over to give autographs!

The Belut (Eel) From Kota Belud The SOB Abdul Rahman DahLancau

By Tan Teik Lye

This was tweeted by the Son of a Bitch UDA Holdings Chairman and BN/Umno MPig of Kota Belud - The Belut Abdul Rahman Dahlan "Amnesty (International) kena belajar makan belacan dan tempoyak dulu sebelum faham tentang Msia. Paling tidak 10 biji durian. Klu pengsan, sendiri tanggung!

This is the type of garbage and scum like his cohort Bung Mokhtar Raden from Kinabatangan that for some strange reason Sabahans like to vote into Parliament. This MF Abdul Rahman character waas responding to Amnesty International's stinging condemnation of the Najib Razak Administration.

The source of Abdul Rahman's pain in the arse is due to this statement from Amnesty International:

“Prime Minister Najib’s government rode roughshod over thousands of Malaysians exercising their right to peaceful protest,” said Donna Guest, deputy Asia-Pacific director at Amnesty International in a statement.

“This violent repression by the Malaysian police flies in the face of international human rights standards and cannot be allowed to continue,” she added.

“The British government shouldn't’t reward this brutality by rolling out a red carpet for Malaysia’s prime minister… (British Prime Minister) David Cameron should tell prime minister Najib that these human rights violations against peaceful reform protests are unacceptable,” she said.

Amnesty International also called on the Vatican to press Najib to respect human rights when he visits the pope later this week.

AI also highlighted the many complaints of police hard-handedness during the rally. It said that the use of force by the police was “excessive, unnecessary and designed to instill fear”.

Not long ago the Umno owned mainstream media such as TV3 and Utusan Malaysia poured scorn on Pope Benedict by calling him BIADAP over the Pope's remarks on the Prophet Mohamed. Now, Najib is going licking to the same Pope his own media labelled as BIADAP.

I appeal to the Pope and UK Prime Minister David Cameron to either cancel their meeting with the brigand Najib Razak or press him on the human rights abuses in Malaysia. I also call on Malaysians in London and Rome to demonstrate and embarrass Najib and the BN regime during his visit in London and Rome.

Coming back to Abdul Rahman DahLancau, he seems to have a lot of time in his hands to Tweeter 24/7. Hasn't he got anything better to do? You should also read this http://www.malaysiawaves.com/2011/07/answering-mp-for-kota-beludagain.html

Catholics & Christians Don't Want Najib Razak To Make Use of the Roman Catholic Church!!!

By Admin

The disgraced leader of the BN/Umno Regime of Malaysia Najib Razak is using his meeting with his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to score brownie points with the Catholic and Christian community in Malaysia. The braggart Najib knows all too well that his predominantly Christian BN/Umno 'Fixed Deposit' states of Sabah and Sarawak are no more 'Fixed Deposits'.

After the brutality and the subsequent lies and denials of the Najib and his Party,

his cabinet, the BN/Umno controlled MSM and the BN/Umno running dogs the Police, Najib now wants to share the spotlight with the Pope. It is also sickening to note
that the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur Murphy Pakiam is allowing himself and the Church to be used by Najib and BN/Umno.

Though the Roman Catholic Church wants to establish diplomatic ties with Malaysia in the name of strengthening Christian - Muslim Unity, choosing Najib is a bad move especially there are many unsolved issues involving the persecution of Christians in Malaysia like the Allah and Bible issue.

Already, Amnesty International today urged UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Pope Benedict against according Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak the 'red carpet' treatment following his administration's suppression and “brutal” treatment of peaceful dissent. Such similar sentiments is also shared by Christians in Malaysia. It is best for the Archbishop to boycott the trip with Najib to
the Vatican.

AMARAN TENTERA & POLIS Kepada Rakyat Malaysia: 'Bersurailah kamu kalau tidak kami tembak' ???

Admin Note

The BN/Umno Regime of Najib Razak has stepped up their threats against anybody intending to participate in assemblies or demonstrations by showcasing the kind of treatment that would be meted out to those violating the ban on 'illegal' rallies. In an apparent reference to the BERSIH 2.0 Rally, the Malaysian Armed Forces and the hated Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) held up a banner in Malay, Jawi, Chinese and Tamil with the threatening message, 'Disperse, or we'll shoot'.

This comes in the wake of Home Minister Hishammudin Hussein maintaining that BERSIH 2.0 is still illegal despite the fact that the Malaysian Monarch Sultan Mizan allowing BERSIH 2.0 to be held in a stadium. The police continued to to make scores of arrests with those connected with BERSIH 2.0 and trumpeting ridiculous charges like foreign spies and Communists having infiltrated BERSIH 2.0.

Is BN/Umno Using The King To Stop BERSIH 2.0???

By Admin

The Malaysian Monarch, Sultan Mizan has asked the the BN/Umno Regime and the organizers of BERSIH 2.0 to talk with each other. This is rather strange coming from His Majesty when you consider the following developments:

1. The Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah has decreed that BERSIH 2.0 is illegal and has warned Malaysians not to be involved with it.

2. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Khalid Abu Bakar has said that the Police is not going to negotiate with BERSIH 2.0

3. Home Minister Hishamuddin Hussein has declared BERSIH 2.0 as ILLEGAL!

Against such a backdrop, it does not make sense for BERRSIH to talk to anybody as the BN/ UMno Government has declared BERSIH 2.0 as ILLEGAL and the Sultan of Pahang has also decreed it as illegal.

The Scribe has a funny feeling that the King will ask BERSIH 2.0 to call off the Rally. The fact that Umno Youth is calling off its demonstration and now Ibrahim Ali saying that Perkasa will go ahead with its counter-march against the Bersih 2.0 rally on Saturday if the coalition does not back down, gives the impression that PM Najib Razak is using the King to stop BERSIH 2.0 because if the Rally goes on, BN/Umno will certainly be doomed. If BERSIH 2.0 goes ahead, then Najib can pin the blame on BERSIH and Pakatan Rakyat for any trouble started by Perkasa, the Silat Group and the Police. Najib can also accuse BERSIH 2.0 and Pakatan Rakyat of waging War against the King.

The first thing the King should do is to order the immediate and unconditional release of all those arrested pertaining to BERSIH 2.0. The King should also rebuke the BN/Umno regime of Najib Razak for allowing the likes of Perkasa and other Malay NGO's together with Utusan Malaysia and all the other BN/Umno linked MSM for intimidating the non Malay Malaysians.

His Majesty must remember that 40 percent of his LOYAL SUBJECTS are non Malays and non Muslims. He must be SEEN to be protecting their rights and interests as well and not just give mere lip service. DAULAT TUANKU!

JESUS CHRIST WALKS WITH BERSIH 2.0. Where Are You, Malaysian Christians?

By Admin

The Scribe believes that if Jesus Christ was here in person today, He would be in the forefront of BERSIH 2.0. It is the duty of every tongue that confesses that "JESUS IS LORD" to be in the forefront of BERSIH 2.0 as the Lion of Judah will be 'walking' with BERSIH 2.0. Let not on Judgement Day, the Lord saith unto you "I do not know you. I did not walk with you at BERSIH 2.0". Then it will be too late for you.

It is a calling and a duty of every Christian to stand up and be counted as the Evil BN/Umno Regime has being oppressing and persecuting Christians in Malaysia for a long time don't be a hypocrite like the Secretary of Blog House Malaysia (BHM), Tony Yew, who lodged a police report against Chan Lillian who, according to Tony, posted a religious sedition with her Twitter account. Chan Lillian is an official video-journalist for Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng.

Bishop Paul Tan reminds the Scribe of the late Cardinal Jaime Sin who led the People Power Revolution that topples the Marcos Regime in the Philippines. Unfortunately , not many of his Brethren have the same crusading spirit of Bishop Paul Tan. Whether it is in the Catholic Church or in other Christian Churches, the Pastors and Priest have mostly side stepped the BERSIH 2.0 issue. What's the use of waging Spiritual Warfare with Evil that you can't see when you are chicken shit scared to wage Spiritual Warfare on the Evil that you can see.

It is also time for every Christian to go up and rebuke all those who claim to be Christian but are either BN supporters, BN spin doctors or BN politicians to rebuke them in Jesus' Name! This is what Spiritual Warfare is also all about. Don't be hypocrites and partake in worship with those who have sold their souls to the Devil like Wong Chun Wai, Pairin Kitinggan, Maximus Ongkili, James Masing, Lee Hwa Beng, Michael Chong et al.

If there's ever gonna be an awakening in Malaysia, it is now! Remember, Scripture says, "If you are neither hot nor cold but lukewarm, you shall be spewed out". So, Christians, time to get hot and let's hot with BERSIH 2.0!

From Malaysiakini

(Malaysiakini) - Catholic Bishop Dr Paul Tan Chee Ing today declared July 8 as a day of prayer in the Melaka-Johor diocese that “a peace based on justice would prevail among Malaysians of all persuasions and beliefs.”

“Like many Malaysians, I view the day of the Bersih march on July 9 with a mixture of trepidation and anticipation,” said the prelate, who is concurrently president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Malaysia.

“I view the situation with trepidation because the forces of reaction may go overboard which may trigger a chain of consequences whose end cannot be visualised at this stage,” he explained.

“Conversely, I see the forces of democratic expression prompted by an imperative whose constitutionality, justice and urgency cannot be denied.”

A tug of conflicting imperatives

Bishop Paul Tan said he is following events closely in the lead-up to July 9 when Bersih, an agglomeration of NGOs pushing for electoral reform, will hold a march for electoral reform in apparent defiance of the authorities' strictures against it.

“This is one of those times when you feel the tug of conflicting imperatives: in this instance, the imperative of public order and tranquility counter-posed by the imperative of justice to the electoral processes that help to guarantee that peace.

“As somebody whose persists in the faith that greater things are wrought by prayer that one can believe, this upcoming situation calls for recourse to precisely that: prayer.

“Accordingly, I call on the Catholic faithful in my diocese, indeed throughout the nation, to devote Friday, July 8, to a day of prayer and contemplation that a peace premised on justice will prevail in our country.”
